Sky Express is a Greek regional carrier based in Heraklion, Crete, providing domestic air services within Greece and select routes to other European destinations. The airline competes with Aegean Airlines and Olympic Air on Greek domestic routes, often serving smaller airfields and Aegean island destinations. As an EU-registered carrier, Sky Express flights departing from EU airports are subject to EC 261/2004. Passengers on Sky Express services who experience significant delays or cancellations may be entitled to claim compensation. Greek domestic routes under 1,500 km would attract the lower compensation bracket of up to €250 per passenger. EU Regulation EC 261/2004 entitles you to fixed compensation — regardless of what the airline tells you.
When can you claim?
If your Sky Express flight arrived 3+ hours late — regardless of stated reason — you may be entitled to up to €600.
Cancellations announced less than 14 days before departure trigger the same fixed compensation amounts.
If Sky Express bumped you due to a full flight, you're entitled to compensation plus a full refund or rerouting.
In most EU countries, you can claim compensation retroactively for disrupted flights up to 6 years ago.
